Brand & Marketing Strategy

Brand strategy that shows up in the revenue line.

Twenty years building brands and demand inside Nissan, Infiniti, Danaher, Irvine Company and Allstate. Today I'm a founder in insurtech, and I take on a small number of strategy engagements each year.

I've sat in the CMO chair and the founder chair.

That changes how I build a brand. A founder doesn't care how pretty the logo is if the pipeline is empty. A marketing leader knows a pipeline built on a muddy story gets more expensive every quarter.

My work sits between the two: find the one thing a company can own, say it the same way in every channel, then wire it to the numbers so you can see what it's earning. I've done it for global automakers, regulated healthcare brands, Class A real estate and a 32-brand insurance integration.

How I help

01

Brand strategy & positioning

Your North Star, in writing. Audience, promise, proof and voice, pressure-tested against competitors and built to guide every decision after it.

02

Rebrands & M&A integration

Name, identity, messaging and rollout. Especially multi-brand portfolios and post-acquisition work where the parent and the products have to make sense together.

03

Go-to-market & demand

Launch plans, channel mix, martech and lead engines measured on revenue, not impressions. Email, content, SEO, paid and partner channels working off one plan.

04

Partnerships & experiential

Sponsorships and strategic alliances that pay for themselves. Deal structure, activation and the reporting that gets them renewed at a higher number.

Strategy sprint

A focused 4 to 6 weeks ending in a positioning platform and a 12-month roadmap your team can run.

Fractional CMO

Senior marketing leadership a few days a month. Team, agencies, budget and executive reporting.

Advisory

A standing sounding board for founders and marketing leaders making high-stakes brand calls.

Selected work

Projects from two decades in-house. Some clients stay confidential; the results don't.

Hope and a task list is not a strategy.

Strategy

Define the North Star: the tangible, emotional and unique reasons someone buys from you. Then map the shortest profitable route from where you are to where you want to be.

Execution

Data first, fail fast, pivot. Clean up the data you have, find what's missing, and ship plans that are measured and tuned from week one.

Evolution

Brands that stand still go stale. Keep measuring, keep adjusting, and the brand compounds into something people trust for years.

About

Twenty years of brand building. Now building my own.

I started in global marketing at Nissan, running experiential programs across 17 markets and the international Infiniti launch workstream. From there I led brand and demand for Danaher, Irvine Company and, for six years, Allstate's health and technology businesses through the National General integration.

In 2025 I co-founded RiskLync, an insurtech company that scores health and P&C leads for conversion and underwriting fit before carriers buy them. I own its brand and go-to-market. I'm also a licensed life and health producer, so insurance brands get someone who knows the product from the inside.

The fundamentals of marketing haven't changed. Buyers, channels and the speed of the market have. Good is no longer enough; brands have to be clear, fast and a little disruptive.
